My priorities are simple - getting you back to your life
Being able to see people flourish again, and supporting them on their way back to health and wellness is the most rewarding part of my job.
Most people who come to see me have been recommended by someone else. They are motivated to spread the word about acupuncture because they have had a positive experience and a good outcome.
I started my professional life as a linguist and spent several years working in international consumer research. From there I moved into healthcare research specialising in patient experience feedback and developing tools to measure and improve doctors' communication skills. But whilst this was interesting work I hadn't found my niche and, having recognised that I was far more fascinated by people than products and data, I decided to make some changes. After trying acupuncture for myself, and seeing gradual but profound results, I became captivated by this fascinating form of healthcare and went on to train as an acupuncturist.
After qualifying in 2009 I first established busy practices in Oxford and Fleet (Hampshire) before moving to Taunton in 2020 where I now live with my family.
Five Element Constitutional Acupuncture is used to assess and treat ill-health due to an imbalance of body, mind and spirit. It offers a powerful system to get to the root cause and get 'you' back - the real 'you' that is healthy, can grow and feel fully alive. Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is used for more specific focus on pain or other symptoms. Judy combines both styles to offer you a truly comprehensive treatment approach. Add to this lifestyle and well-being advice and you have a very potent and holistic approach designed to get you back on track.
In 2020, I have been studying for a teaching qualification in Mindfulness and Compassion in order to offer more comprehensive emotional support to clients. This will be rolled out in 2021, in some cases integrated with Acupuncture treatment, and in other cases as group teaching online.

I have been having acupuncture treatments with Judy since 2013 for a range of different issues. Some specific aches and pains, Hay Fever during the summer months, and on other occasions just to gain an increased sense of wellbeing. I have always found the treatments to be extremely beneficial. I have never experienced any pain or discomfort from the fine needles that Judy uses, and each treatment has, without exception, provided me with a sense of relaxation. I would highly recommend acupuncture as a means of maintaining general good health and wellbeing; and also as an accompaniment to other treatments such as medication, physiotherapy etc.
